International Conference of Green Energy and Environment (ICoGEE) 2019 was held for 2 days on 3 - 4 September 2019. This conference was designed with four topics, those are green energy and application, green environment, enviromental science and technology, energy and environmental sustainability. Five keynote speakers from Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia were invited to deliver their work/research in green energy and environment area. Participants who attended this conference were researchers from several institutions. They also presented their related work/research papers in parallel sessions.

The papers that were presented by the participants will be published by IOP Publishing (indexed by Scopus). 40 of them are papers of CDSR members that write acknowledgments for USAID through SHERA program.

During the preparation of ICoGEE 2019, there were some challenges we faced, namely in disseminating information about the implementation of ICoGEE to the general public to attract as many participants as possible and wait for the results of the paper review from the reviewers. To overcome the first challenge, we disseminated information about ICoGEE through various social media in addition to the official ICoGEE website. Meanwhile, to overcome the second challenge, we ask several internal reviewers who have competence to back up the reviewer's (scientific committee) review tasks.

Lesson learned from ICoGEE 2019 is to be able to know how to prepare international conference and manage scientific articles to be published through publisher at the international level.

The planned follow up after the implementation of ICoGEE 2019 is to hold an international conference in the following years.
