Process of Activity:

This event conducted as a follow up of GCP training held by CCR-ARI in Bandung on last July 2017 that only invited 2 scholars from UNSYIAH. Since the Burden of Disease study will be implemented in RSUD Dr Zainoel Abidin-as the network hospital, we identified the need to arrange another GCP workshop for clinicians in the hospital. Since it didn’t cover by CCR-ARI budget, the hospital management funded this workshop internally. Our institution paid all spending for this activity approximately IDR 120. 000. 000, - to finance 40 participants. All targeted attendees were presented and some of them were the scholars of CCR-ARI UNSYIAH.

Results of Activity:

This event held in two days and officially conducted by IASMED and Prodia CRO. The speakers were: 1. Prof. Dr. dr. Rianto Setiabudy, Sp. FK (K) 2. Dr. Heru Tonang 3. Valentina, M. Sc, Apt 4. Ermita Herdani, M. Sc., Apt 5. Dr. Ida Paulina Sormin, M. Si., Apt. 6. dr. Ichsan, M. Sc (PM CCR-ARI UNSYIAH) The partnership manager of CCR-ARI affiliate UNSYIAH deliver one topic about "Collaborative Research, GCP as an International Requirement in Medical Study" in this short course. All participants have passed the exam and awarded the GCP certificate.

Challenges You Faced:

The biggest challage was how to convince the Director of our Provincial Hospital to finance this important course by using their own budget (Non SHERA Budget)

Lessons Learned:

Always talk and discuss all barriers that could become obstacles in conducting this event directly to the key person in our institution

Recommendation:

All hospital staf (Doctors, Ners, Laboratory staff and Public health employee ) who were participated in this course would be good researchers, especially on the study in the clinical topic.
